About the writer
Bree is a spirited and standout font that takes its inspiration from handwriting. It’s sure to grab your reader’s attention, especially in short paragraphs.
Kim Donovan is a SAG-AFTRA actor/dancer/producer and screenwriter who has a special place in her heart for all things dark comedy.
She produced her first short film, "Lynch and Chrighton" in 2016, a comedic-adventure pirate short.
ScareActor's first draft was written as a passion project after being inspired by the tone of the film "Adventureland," and later workshopped as her final screenwriting project for her advanced scriptwriting class at the University of Central Florida, from which she obtained her BA in Theatre and minor in Creative Writing. ScareActor is inspired by some of the writer's relatable-yet unique experiences from working in year-round haunted attractions in Orlando, and seasonal ones in NYC and Los Angeles.
The storyline itself is a fun dramedy mainstream audiences will enjoy. Despite the setting, it is not a horror film. It is a story about the challenges of love in your 20's but includes fun practical horror FX that will appeal to a horror fanbase and makes the setting a character itself.
